From the beginning, Spawn has been the backbone of the multidemensional McFarlane world. What started out as a comic book character has evolved into television (the Emmy-winning animated series), electronic gaming and movies - 1997's Spawn from New Line Cinema grossed more than $100 million and the sequel is currently in the works. The comic itself has spawned a host of spinoff books (Sam and Twitch, Spawn The Dark Ages, Spawn The Undead) and will reach the epochal issue #100 in the year 2000. Oh, and action figures, The Spawn Series - 15 lines through 1999 - have been some of McFarlane Toys' biggest sellers and have consistently won awards for detailing and quality. For 2000, three more Spawn lines will be introduced including Spawn Series 17, a new line of classic Spawn comic figures, each detailed like never before and shipped with a custom decorative base. The line includes all-new sculpts of: Spawn V, Medieval Spawn, Al Simmons, the Clown, Malebolgia and Tiffany.
